TimCast IRL

Background:

Tim Pool is an American political commentator and podcast host. He first became known for live streaming the 2011 Occupy Wall Street protests. He joined Vice Media and Fusion TV in 2014, where he was Director of Media innovation and Senior Correspondent.

Tim Pool operates multiple YouTube channels that feature daily political commentary and his podcast, TimCast IRL. His material is also available on his website, timcast.com and on Rumble.  Audio podcasts are available on Apple and Spotify.

Tim Pool has an impressive background as a reporter on major stories around the US and internationally. Pool covered the 2016 Milwaukee riots. In February 2017, Pool traveled to Sweden to investigate claims of "no-go zones" and problems with refugees in the country.
In 2019, Joe Rogan invited Pool onto his podcast, following an interview with Twitter founder Jack Dorsey. The two criticized the censorship practices of Twitter. Some news outlets described Pool as a spreader of conspiracy theories.  In July 2019, Pool participated in a White House event for internet personalities who were unfairly targeted for their views. In August 2020, President Trump liked a tweet published by Pool expressing support for Kyle Rittenhouse, then facing trial on homicide charges of killing two people during the riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin, for which he was ultimately acquitted.

Pool was accused of spreading fake news surrounding election fraud before and after the 2020 United States presidential election. Pool was a critic of vaccine mandates in the COVID-19 pandemic, said he was unvaccinated, and hosted alleged COVID-19 conspiracy theorists. In August 2021, he criticized New York City’s vaccine passport mandate, as it did not have exemptions for immunocompromised people or people with other disabilities.

Tim Pool is a disaffected liberal who describes himself as a centrist or "center libertarian left". Many mainstream media outlets have accused him of being “right-wing”, which he rejects. He sees his audience as discerning and skeptical regarding mainstream media. He has criticized progressive social justice movements. He has said that in trying to appeal to young people with sensationalism, mainstream media skews towards liberal and left-leaning audiences.

The TimCast IRL podcast features Tim Pool with a small group of rotating co-hosts and one or two guests who discuss news, culture, and politics. The Podcast can be seen for no cost on the timcast.com website and on YouTube and Rumble. There is also premium material available with a subscription on the timcast.com website.

TimCast is solely owned and operated by Tim Pool with no external financing, support, advisement, or otherwise.
